How your hour works

Arrive
Free parking on site at Scott's of Southend.

Change
Five minutes in the changing rooms. Bring your own towel.
03
Sauna
Wood-fired heat. Pour water on the stones, feel the steam.
04
Cold plunge
Into the water at 5–12°C. Breathe slow.
05
Rest
Sit in the garden under the palms.
06
Hot tub
Warm back up in the six-person hot tub.
07
Repeat
Two or three rounds. Leave feeling brand new.
Go at your own pace. If you have a medical condition, check with your GP first.

Stage 01
Laying the ground
New paving goes down across the garden, with the first palms waiting in their pots.
Stage 02
The cold plunges arrive
Two stone tubs and a sunken plunge pool are set into the patio.
Stage 03
Sauna cabin and hot tub
The timber cabin goes up and the six-person hot tub is lifted into place.
Stage 04
Inside the bath house
Dark green walls, a stone waterfall feature and a lot of sawdust.
Stage 05
Changing rooms
Lockers in, benches going up, a skylight overhead.
Stage 06
Planting the garden
Palms and ferns go in around the timber posts.
